 The Peanut Gets it Done!---Update October 14, 2007

I have been shaving my head for over 10 years. I have used most every blade, cream, gel or electric razor on the market. The closest shave for me has been a Mach 3 with a shaving gel. However, shaving my head every day with a blade takes a lot of time and alot of Mach 3 razors---Additionally, I am prone to ingrown hairs on the back of my head. Because of these reasons, I thought I would try the peanut. WOW!!!!! What a great product. It does not shave as close as a blade but it is darn close and it shaves much closer than any other clipper out there. (now that I have lots of gray hair, the very close cut looks like a shave) Using the Peanut has solved my ingrown hair issue completely. This little bugger is very well made and has plenty of power. Also, I have NEVER cut myself with it. The best shave will always be a blade but the Peanut gets the job done in a third of the time, with no cuts or ingrown hairs. It's a winner.
UPDATE Aug 2009......the Peanut continues to amaze. It cuts just as good as the day I bought it in 2007. No pulled hairs, the white blade guards still snap on firmly and I am still on the original blade! A drop of mineral oil every now and then is the only maintenance I've done. Finally a quality product that works and lasts. Bravo Wahl Bravo!!!!

I LOVE this clipper/trimmer! My mother-in-law gave me this set 15 years ago because I cut hair for 4 boys and one hubby. My Peanut is still going strong and just now I think I need to replace the blade.
This clipper is lightweight, easy to use, and it does a terrific job. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

This is the 2nd peanut I buy, I shave my head 2-3 times a week depending on social activities and this machine is the best I have had for the past 7 years. And I have had Osters, Norelcos, and Revlon

The Peanut is everything it is advertised to be. It is very small and very light. It cuts hair without cutting the skin. It has a good selection of cutting guides. It is easy to clean. The blade system snaps on and off for easy (though not cheap) replacement. The unit does not accept 220V, a downside for international travelers.
Update...After six months of weekly usage, I still hold this item in high regard. It is working as if it were new.
Update...After 18 months of weekly usage, the unit still operates as if new. As a frequent international traveller I wish it accepted 110V to 240V so I would not need to carry a voltage converter.

I am a professional hairstylist and I have been using the Peanut clippers for quite a few years now and love them! I used to use a standard size clipper for the hair and these little guys for edging and trimming, beards & mustaches.....but when my reg clippers gave out I had no choice but to use these little guys for a whole haircut...the rest is history. Because of the fact that they are so small, they take up little to no room at my station which is small and tight for space, also....they get a close precise cut...as long as your blade is sharp.
While I agree that the cost of the raplacement blades is a little expensive, I will say that I can use the same blade for 6 months to a year depending on how many cuts I do, without having to replace one.....thats what the oil is for.
All in all I LOVE these little guys and this is one of the best prices I have found....that incldes my beauty supply places!
