 Amazing new razor June 18, 2010

I am beyond impressed with the new Proglide razor. I shave my head, face, chest, etc. and could easily tell that this razor has surpassed the original fusion in so many ways. First off, when I shave my head, I have an uncomfortable feeling (not painful, but unpleasant). While using the Proglide, the uncomfortableness was almost completely gone and it took less time to shave my head. My face has always been extremely sensitive so I was overjoyed when it was a painless breeze to shave my face and it has never been that smooth with minimal effort before.
Everywhere else was the same story: less strokes, less pain and better hydration from the strip. I find it amazing that the fusion was able to be improved so I am extremely happy about this.
The preview kit comes with a face scrub, shaving cream and aftershave lotion. It really is a great value at around ten dollars..don't pay more than that because thats what all the stores charge.
An Incremental Improvement, But Worth It May 15, 2010

The biggest improvement here is in the handle, which feels better than my old Fusion Power Phantom, though they look pretty much identical side by side. I've long missed my third-party handle for my Mach 3, and this one still isn't as nice as my original Fusion Manual handle (which was made in eastern Europe), but, like I said, this one seems to be an improvement over the previous Fusion Power, and I've become sold on the vibrating handles. They're always making tweaks to the blade cartridge, and this one is better, seeming to glide more effortlessly while delivering the same close shave as before. The warming face wash included would be nice to use if one doesn't shower before shaving, but that's a rarity for me, and the cooling aftershave feels pretty much like every aftershave Gillette has made for about the past 25 years, and they never quite do it for me. The Fusion Shave Gel is the same as before, though I prefer the moisturizing variety to the sensitive one included here.
Miles ahead of previous blades August 1, 2010

I'm telling you how much I love these new blades because my wife is sick of hearing it!
I thought the original Fusion Power was a slight upgrade on the Mach 3, but the Fusion Proglide Power is miles ahead of both. The blades really do glide over my face quickly and comfortably, and the shave is so close that no stubble appears for hours later than with previous blades. I don't like shaving, and I put it off when I can, but the Powerglide has made shaving so fast that I'm no longer trying to avoid it.

this was a gift for my husband and he tells me that it is no improvement over the previous model
too bad / sort of a waste of money! not an amazon issue....
