I ordered two of these, one for each of my special needs children. My autistic son wears it around his wrist. The clasp was easy enough for me to manipulate, but too much for him to get off. He tried scraping, chewing, cutting with wire cutters (he's a small 8 year old), and every other method he could think of to destroy the bracelet. It survived everything he did- and he'd managed to remove several before it. Once he got over the fact that he can't get it off, he realized that the chain is not scratchy or uncomfortable at all and he no longer minds it. Note: The bracelet is sized for an adult, but I was able to use strong wire cutters to shorten the chain before putting it on him.
The other bracelet was for my two year old who has special medical needs. She wears it on her ankle, and has had no problems with it. She thinks it is shiny and beautiful.
Overall, this product is very well built, especially for this price. I would buy it again.
